How We Counted

Mapbox figures are its published pay-as-you-go prices on mapbox.com/pricing, checked October 26, 2026. Each volume range is billed at its own rate, so the first free range is $0 and every range after it adds its own price.
A map view is one Mapbox map load (Mapbox GL JS on the web), which includes the map's tiles. MapJet counts the tiles a view loads. The examples assume 20 tiles a view; set your own figure in the calculator.
Address autocomplete is priced per Search Box API request, and geocoding at Mapbox's temporary geocoding rates.
Past its last listed tier Mapbox asks you to contact sales, and the calculator says so instead of guessing a price. Above 1,000,000 requests/month or 5,000,000 tiles/month, MapJet Scale applies, with no monthly limit.
At very small volumes Mapbox's free tier covers more: 50,000 map loads/month, against the 50,000 tiles of MapJet's Free plan (about 2,500 views at 20 tiles each).
MapJet's address autocomplete and geocoding cover US addresses. Mapbox's cover more countries.
